*This is my version of a Cheesy Ravioli Bake.
Most ingredients used are Great Value Brand to be Budget Friendly.
I have included the cost for these items so you know exactly how much I spent on this meal,
if you are like me and are trying to budget your meals.
This Meal is a Staple in our Home.
This Meal is has been approved by my Kids. 😀
You can't go wrong with Pasta & Cheese.
INGREDIENTS
1lb Ground Beef (73% Lean/27% Fat) $4.34
1 Bag Cheese Ravioli (Great Value 25oz) $2.98
1 Jar Spaghetti Sauce (Great Value 24oz) $1.48
1 Bag Mozzarella Shredded Cheese (Great Value 16oz) $3.98
Other Ingredients
1 Pinch Salt
1tblsp Butter/Olive Oil
1tblsp Pepper
1tblsp Garlic Powder
1tblsp Italian Seasoning
Aluminum Foil
9 X 13 Casserole Dish
TOTAL COST $12.78
(Based on Spices Already in Stock in Home)
*You wil want to Preheat your over to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit*
STEP 1)
RAVIOLI
For Any Perfect Pasta,
Add Water and a Pinch of Salt to Pot,
Bring Water to a Boil, Then Add in your Ravioli,
Let Boil for 4 to 5 Minutes.
I usually eye-ball it. If the Ravioli is Floating and expanded,
That's usually a sign that's its done.
Once you drain the water from Ravioli,
I usually add 1 tblsp of Butter and mix it with cooked Ravioli.
You can also use Olive Oil.
This is good for the pasta to prevent stickiness,
and also will add thickness to the sauce.
Once Ravioli is completed, Place in Bottom of Casserole Dish
STEP 2)
SPAGHETTI SAUCE
For My Spaghettie Sauce,
I usually Brown the Ground Beef,
Adding in a few seasonings to the Cooking Meat.
1 TblSp of Pepper, Garlic Powder, & Italian Seasoning.
Once Meat I Browned Through,
Drain Off the Fat and Place Meat Back Into Pan/Pot.
Then I add in the Spaghetti Sauce and Mix with Ground Beef,
I usually let this simmer on Medium Low for about a half hour.
Once Sauce has Mixed and Thickened,
You can Spread it on Top of Ravioli in Casserole Dish.
Mix Together Well with Ravioli.
STEP 3)
CASSEROLE
You can add in other types of Cheese as well if you'd like.
Cover Casserole Dish in Aluminum Foil,
and Place in Oven for 20 Minutes.
I put my Casserole Dish on a Baking Pan.
Uncover Casserole Dish,
and Bake Another 5 Minutes.
This Dish is 6 to 8 Servings
