Easy Beef Stroganoff - Total Cost $8.81


*This is my version of a Super Easy, Budget Friendly Beef Stroganoff. 

Most ingredients used are Great Value Brand to be Budget Friendly.

I have included the cost for these items so you know exactly how much I spent on this meal,

if you are like me and are trying to budget your meals. 

This Meal is a Favorite in our Home. 

This Meal is has been approved by my Kids. ðŸ˜€ 


I also do this Recipe with White Cheddar.

INGREDIENTS

1lb Ground Beef (73% Lean/ 27% Fat) $4.34
1 Bag Egg Noodles (Great Value 16oz) $1.43 
1/2 Cup Sour Cream  (Great Value 8oz) $1.16
1 Can Cream of Mushroom 10.5oz (Great Value) $0.58
1 Packet Brown Gravy (Great Value) $0.36
1 Yellow Onion Chopped $0.94
1 Tblsp Minced Garlic
1 Pinch Salt
1 Cup Water
1tsp Salt
1tsp Pepper
1tsp Garlic Powder
1tsp Minced Garlic



Total Cost $8.81
(Based on Spices Already in Stock in Home)



STEP 1)

NOODLES


Fill Pot Half Way, 
Add 1 Pinch of Salt,
Bring Water to a Boil,
Add Noodles to Boiling Water,
Boil Noodles for about 7 to 8 Minutes,
Drain Noodles from Water,
Set Aside


STEP 2)

STROGANOFF GRAVY




Chop Onion






Add Thawed Ground Beef and Chopped Onion to Pan,
Brown Ground Beef and Cook Onion until Semi-Transluscent,
Drain Off Fat From Ground Mixture,
Return to Pan





Add 1 Cup of Cold Water to Sauce Pan,
Whisk in Brown Gravy Mix,
Bring Gravy to a Boil,
Turn Down Heat to Low,
Whisk Frequently, 
While Simmering for 1 to 2 Minutes until Gravy Thickens





Add in your Seasonings to 
Ground Beef Onion Mix,
1 tsp Salt,
1tsp Pepper,
1tsp Garlic,
1Tblsp Minced Garlic,
Stir to Combine





Add 1 Can of Cream of Mushroom,
1/2 Cup of Sour Cream,
and Brown Gravy,
Mix all to Combine into Stroganoff Gravy





Add Cooked Egg Noodles to Stroganoff Gravy,
Stir Well to Combine





This dish makes about 6 to 8 Hearty Helpings
