*This
is my version of a Taco Bake. Most ingredients used are Great Value Brand to be
Budget Friendly.
I have included the cost for these items so
you know exactly how much I spent on this meal,
if
you are like me and are trying to budget your meals.
Ingredients Needed:

1lb Ground Beef (73% Lean/27%
Fat) $4.34 1lb
·
1 Packet Taco Seasoning (Great
Value Original Taco Seasoning) $0.44
·
1 Can Refried Beans (Great Value
Traditional Refried Beans) $0.88
·
1 Can Diced Tomatoes w/Green
Chiles (Great Value Mild) $0.72
·
1 Can Nacho Cheese (Rico’s Gourmet
Nacho Cheddar Cheese) $2.48
·
1 Yellow Onion $0.78
·
1 Green Pepper $0.78
·
1 Cup Fiesta Shredded Cheese
(Great Value Finely Shredded Fiesta Blend 16oz) $3.98
·
1 Pack of Taco Size Tortillas (Old
El Paso Flour Tortillas, For Soft Tacos 10 count) $1.92
· Sour Cream (Great Value Original Sour Cream 16oz) $1.96
Total Cost $18.28
*Preheat
Oven to 400 Degrees Fahrenheit
Step 1)
Chop Green Pepper and Onion
Add Ground Beef, Onion, and Pepper
to Pan
Step 3)
Brown Ground Beef and Cook
Until Onions are Semi-Translucent
Step 4)
Drain Off Fat from Ground Beef Mixture
Step 5)
Return Ground Beef Mixture Back to Pan. Add in Pack of Taco Seasoning and 1 Cup of Water.
Cook on Medium Heat until Sauce Thickens
Step 6)
Using a 9 x 11 Casserole Dish,
Grease or Spray Pan to Prevent
Sticking,
Place 5 Tortillas on Bottom of Dish
Step 7)
Take ½ can of Refried Beans and
Spread over Top of Tortillas
Step 8)
Add ½ of Taco Beef Mixture on Top of Refried Beans
Step 9)
Add ½ Can of Rotel on Top of Beef Mixture
(I used Great Value Mild Diced Tomatoes w/Green Chiles)
Step 10)
Add ½ Can Nacho Cheese on Top of Rotel
Step 11)
Once these Layers have been added,
Repeat from Step 7 and add
another layer of Tortillas
Place in Oven for 30 minutes at 400 Degree Fahrenheit
Step 13)
Add 1 Cup Fiesta Cheese on Top,
Place Back in Oven for 5 Minutes until Cheese is Melted
Serve w/Sour Cream
